Lookin for a restore project/racecar I recently sold my last car that I was building, and am now looking for a new vehicle to start over with. I was just coming by to ask around if anyone has any pointers on which years are troublesome (if any). I've been told by a friend that the early lt-1 camaros (93, 94 according to him) had some computer issues. He has a 95 (by chance, not choice) so I figure this could just be him talking his car up. I am partial to manuals, but have heard alot of good about Chevy's automatics. I'm not really lookin for peoples opinoins, but they are welcome as I am open minded about this. Simply put, I'm looking for a camaro to build into a 1/4 mile machine, NOT a daily driver. And I figured I would try to find out what others are doing, and whats tried and true. Another thing I was wondering is how "versatile" are the 88-92 body? They look best (IMO) and I was curious if it's possible to drop an ls-1 or lt-1 into them, or possibly bigger? Thanks everyone! |
