Ive had my 88 rs for about a year now and it still runs fine but 2.8 liters just isent doing the job. Now down the road i want to swap engines or just get a new camaro altogether. Before i did that i wondered if there is anything out there to make this thing faster? i looked into turbos and supercharging but nobody makes a kit for this engine. Please help, i cant drive on the street anymore without some college age kid asking about whats under the hood. cant lie and say 350 cuz then im worse than a ricer kid. but man yelling "uuhhh 2.8L" really sucks. please help me if you can.

you could try a few of the "little" things that make more power. better intake/exhaust flow, hotter ignition spark, maybe someone makes a hi perf cam for your motor.

lmao. I have the same problem man. It sucks to say that!!!! I'll look into the cams. I have exhaust, but i'm still looking for more.

I dont know if your still watching this post 88slowmaro, but ive done a few things to get more power. I have a accel coil with a accel cap and rotor set. With the accel 8mm wires and bosch +4 platnum plugs. And she runs alot strong especially in high rpms. i have the flowmaster out the back with K&N air filters in the front. And it does the trick. Its not a 350, but it definetly has more punch. Oh the coil will run you $40 and so will the cap & rotor set. the wires are also $30-40. K&N filters are $30 each and you need 2. And the best part is, you can order them through advance discount auto! easy enough?
